2025 Fall Running - Post Your Pictures Here

Neil, now even you’ve got me wondering what season it is.

The thread says fall, the trees say spring, and we know the fallout… Cliff will be (again) frantically looking for another 4th of July sale on cardigans & jumpers, on his next visit to New Zealand.

Great photos!

Yay, she and the layout look wonderful, Neil!

It’s worse than daylight savings Bill, and we had snow falling here on Thursday just to completely weird things out. Today it’s 20 C and T shirts.

Thanks Cliff, few changes since you swung by. Need to do an update…

Vid as promised. As all good YooChoobers do, I put the best clip last. Jump to 1:35 if you’re impatient like me.

Cheers

Boy is that tunnel going to be great when it’s done. I love the steam pouring out!

Niel;

Really enjoyed the video of your Climax. My only geared live steamer does not look much like a geared steam locomotive, but it is one.

A run of my Accucraft 13 ton live steam Shay on a nice fall day on the SC&M Garden Railroad.

This morning was the first time steam operated over my new layout. First shot as the train drifts downgrade toward Goodwin:

Heading upgrade toward Mirage:

each pic posted by you tells the same:

you bought the optimal background!

The MOW boss for the division AJ O’Pry is battling with Dispatcher Carr over track and time issues. Asst Supt Bob Jensen is allowing them both to vent before he makes his decision. Never to miss a good argument, is Conductor Pete and his fellow old timer T&E boys.

Dispatcher Rameriz doesn’t understand what the holdup is, since he has given the 4087 the green to Arrow Junction.

Just another day on the railroad.

Hi guys,
For those of you that have Steve Rasmussen’s La Veta Pass Route book, there are several pics of a prototype train going to and from Creede during the winter of 1954.Yesterday I realized I had all the right equipment to replicate that train, and this afternoon I did so:

Matt

I think you have put a serious challenge to Marty Cozad’s saying “Is it real, or just outdoors” - Hopefully I remembered that right

That really looks awesome.

Thank you Jon. Not all of us are fortunate enough to have a real railroad in our back yard, but I’m trying to get as close as I can.

Well yes, there is that! I have it in my head that at some point in the future I would like to be able to photograph my train with an EBT train in the background. I haven’t quite figured out the angles yet, but it’s one of my goals.

But nothing can beat those mountains!

Yeah Jon,
Not all of us are fortunate to have a “real” railroad in our backyard!

But I think I would rather have Matt’s backyard for photo ops with my models.

Hi guys,
Winter has held off for one more day, so yesterday I set out to run a long-ish train.

Here the train rolls upgrade through Mosca:

Drifting downgrade above Goodwin:

And finally, late yesterday afternoon the train has just crested the 2% grade of the west loop:

Matt

Matt, you are turning us all green. :astonished:

While racking leaves I found this

Hey Matt,
I purchased a house about 100 miles from ya’ and here is my NEW layout! Now mind you the P42’s are LGB and the baggage is a modified Aristo but the Superliners are scratched up.

Ok that was a lie but it looked and sounded like a plan.
