@Eric I use a brushed on coat of TiteBond III wood glue ( not TiteBond II ). It’s waterproof when dry, and it turns a nice warm brown color. and it’s relative cheep.

This was a fun build to follow. Not only the whimiscal idea but the munchkins helping.
Devon, thanks, we had fun doing it, and I think I advanced the football a bit on my skills at the same time. The kids do drift in and out of the project, but nothing will turn them off faster than “mandatory fun,” so that is OK!
