This past weekend was the 37th annual FEBT Reunion. It was held again at the Bricktown Model Railroaders Association in Mount Union PA. They are a great group of guys and we really appreciate their willingness to have us. A good time was had by all in spite of the late date and cold weekend this year. There were the usual clinics, walking tours, modeling contest and layouts. In the layout hall there was a HOn3 modular layout of the Saltillo area. There was also a temporary HO PRR Middle division layout the Bricktown guys will be showing for Christmas this year. There was also a unique switchback layout. Then of course, we had the F scale set up on folding tables again. We even had some 2.5" scale present. Below is a video of the F and 2.5" scale.
Here is an overall shot of the layout hall.
There was also a great walking tour of the Coke oven and Iron furnace remains and speeder rides in the yard Saturday. A special treat was enjoyed as Engine #17 was pulled out on to the turn table for display. Sunday had a walking tour of Robertsdale and local home layout tours in the afternoon. Several excellent clinics took place on Friday and Saturday.
If anyone would like to attend next year mark your calendars now. The event will be held on Oct 9th 10th & 11th in 2020. Back to Columbus Day weekend and back to the school in Rockhill.
