2017 Mik's Challenge - Lou Luczu

Panic, Panic, Panic.

It’s time to start and this is all I have.

Mmmm…With cheese sauce

Well it is a napkin with a drawing on it. . .I can’t wait to see how you use the stones to build a pretzel.

You have more then I have. Im not even sure what I want to do yet.

Well, you guys set me to thinking, so I went to the room where I do my best thinking.

Stones, pretzels, leftover part of caboose. Bingo! Ric & Jan have been struggling with retirement, so, to help them along, they are opening:

Golding’s Pretzel Hut

Tada!

Here’s the remnant of the caboose that will serve as the prep area and pickup counter:

The stones will be the foundation and the area to hold the long lines.

I’m off! (Am I ever)

Lou, you get the big stamp of approval only if you work the HALO in somewhere!!! (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-innocent.gif)

edit: I would have said two since there are two on the napkin, but I don’t know how to spell it. Is it halo (as in deer)? or haloes? or halos?

You never noticed the halos on Ric & Jan?

Great idea.

Wait! I changed my cold medicine so I had another idea. What if it becomes:

Golding’s Pretzel Hut & Drive In Movie

Ahh, you seek Pretzel the Hutt!!! Good it should be!

So Ric shows up this morning with some flour for the pretzels to find:

Looks like Rooster struck overnight!

Let’s see how the masons did with the back wall.

looking good Lou. Dang taggers. When they find the culprit they need to pluck him and fry him

How did you color the stones, Lou? They look fantastic, very realistic. I’m heading in a similar direction I think and would like to know.

Well, John, I laid a bunch of stones onto 2 sheets of paper. I had 3 cans of spray paint. One was a textured brown, one a heather green which was grayish, and one that looked rusty brown. Holding the cans way high, I went across both sheets something like this:

Brown

Green

Rusty

After they dried, I went

Green

Rusty

Brown

but not lining up the patterns exactly. I did try to hit them all with the greenish to make it so they didn’t look like Hershey bars. My wife thought I wasn’t sharing my bag of chocolates.

They really do look great

Nice job painting the stones, they look real.

That is a good use for a part of a caboose.

Nice work. I will need to place a Order of Pretzels to be shipped to John’s warehouse when finished…(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif)

Maybe Lou will give Travis’ mill his flour orders(http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Can you give me some link to Travis’ Mill? Can’t seem to find it.
