2017 Mik's Build Challenge WINNERS

AND THE WINNERS ARE

This years Challenge brought out the best in a ton of entrants. And the saying that everyone is a winner sure fits this bunch. GREAT BUILDS all around, and if any one of them would like to contribute their build to me, I would be proud to place it on my pike. All of them!!

The most prestigious annual award is presented in the honor of the build challenges founder, Mik just Mik.

Is proudly presented to:

Lou, Keep the spirit alive!!

The voting for this years builds was the closest it has ever been.

So close that only a few points separated the top 4 places.

Each vote was assigned a value of 4 points for 1st place,

2 points for 2nd place and

1 point for 3rd place.

And the winner are:

AND THE GRAND PRIZE

Twofer for John, with his back to back wins.

Most excellent. Thanks Dave for keeping this going. Congrats John for line honors. Well deserved my friend. Is it Jan 2018 yet?

Thank you, Dave.

I want to thank my family, my friends, Pogo, LSC, and The Academy.

Roof beers for everyone!

I think my ultimate recycle was my bowling ball and a gazing ball base:

Congrats all and here are the winners of the figures.

Please message me here on LSC with your mailing address guys.

I would like paid back for the cash I secretly slipped you for the Bob McCown figure then Boomer!

Congrates to all (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-tongue-out.gif)

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s challenge. Picking amongst the builds was quite difficult and each winner is well deserved. John, Chris, Eric, Devon and Lou did an amazing job with their builds. A special congratulations to them. But all the entrants get a prize … we all created something new to add to our layouts and we all had fun in the process.

And, a big congratulations to ME … for being lucky(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-laughing.gif) Thanks Boomer for providing the Ken figure. It will find a prominent place on my layout one day. I just hope your reincarnation of Ken works as hard as the real one on building a layout. I’m going to need all the help I can get. Does the figure come with all Ken’s knowledge too? That would be a great help!!

Multitudinous attaboys!!

Congrats to the winners and congrats to the runners up who all submitted excellent builds with craftsman-like workmanship.

Quit screwing around in here Cliff !

You have a laser cutter to finish installing. Mik detested that new kind of technology !

Well done all! Great fun to see the projects and their stories unfold!

Congrats to Lou, Devon, Eric, Chris( first timer too!) and John. It was a blast to be in this challenge and to have the nice things said about my efforts, I congratulate all that entered, and hope those that didnt finish will keep posting pictures of their efforts. Looking forward to next years, is it almost time to start???

WOW!! Never expected 2nd Place on my first try. Was up against a bunch of great builds. Once again, I really appreciate being allowed to participate, all of the kind comments, and all of the votes. Really had a lot of fun, and learned a lot.

Thanks again guys,

Chris

I think we have an awesome group of guys and even a gal or two around here. I know it’s electronic, which I admit still makes me uneasy, but it’s a good feeling to see people genuinely interested in the builds, and I love seeing what others are working on. Now then it helps that Kevin is a nearby friend here in Denver, and it helps that I’ve met Jon Radder and his great family in person, but, for me, getting together for the Challenge makes me a lot more comfortable than I would be otherwise. I like this place.

We like you too John

Now all I got to do is get Dave to sell me a couple more sets of that stone. Something tells me he doesn’t even want to see those molds for a few weeks though!!

Congratulations to the winners!, and everyone who participated… I had fun this year tho it isn’t finished yet…I am still plugging away…Great Job and Well done Dave for keeping this going. I am sure MIK is smiling upon us all…

Congratulations to all the winners! I had fun just watching all these builds come together. Great job, guys.

congratulations to winners and to all participants!
