Hey Vic, Just checking in to make sure there weren’t any pressing changes at the last minute. Keep hanging in there. He he he…
Hi Randy yeah I’m done, its installed, it was on the layout when I took it to the Costa Mesa train show. I have been busy with other things that have kept me occupied. I have all my final pics, just need to load them this weekend.
Here’s a short video of the layout, you can see it installed
Looks good and the music is great. The outhouse really is in a delicate precarious balance!
Love it!! It’s the perfect touch. But whats at the bottom of the canyon?

Looks like a power pack. Hope it’s a remote…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)
Well done.(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)
Extra! Extra! A mystery explosion was heard on the desert this afternoon! Was it strong enough to disturb the San Andreas Fault? Time will tell!
Hey, down at the power pack, have a Wile E. Coyote figure tinkering with the wire connections.
If you can find me a 1/22 scale Wile E. Coyote, I’ve been looking for one for years.
Final pics, sorry no story this year, just too busy.
here is where it goes on the Weda & Heckawe Junction RR pizza.
total costs $0
Thats all Folks
Installed on pizza layout
I’m sure glad that you were so considerate of all the users that you smoothed down the edges of the hole. Your splinter free friends will thank you.
Splinter free wood yes, tenuous free rusty metal, well…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-undecided.gif)
Hopefully I will get to detail the two holer later. But where did you find the hinges? I need them for several projects besides the outhouse.
Wow, that is too cool. I love all the detail!
Your next project should be making your own Wile E. Coyote figure - that way you can have him in the exact pose you want.
Great job!
Thanks guys
Doug I made them from heavy bond cardstock paper, since the door was going to be fixed in place and indoors, I cut the general shape in cardstock, the hinge is this styrene rod cut and CA’d in place.
If yours is going to be in any kind of weather check out at Michael’s crafts, they had tiny brass hinges for making things like jewelry box lids. Also Micromark carries small hinges as well. I was going to buy the Michaels hinges but just improvised mine to save time and $.
That worked great but I will take a trip to Michael’s and do some shopping’ Thanks
