Of interest is the 2016 edition of the annual publication Locomotive published by TRAINS magazine. This issue features “Los Angeles, one amazing Railroad town” – an article/pictorial featuring a highly detailed visual Train-watchers Guide to Los Angeles. In the extensive article on the LA basin’s railroading, there is also commentary on the Fullerton Station supported by the quote “Fullerton station, arguably the greatest train-watching place in the country…” We average over 120 trains daily.
The on site Fullerton Train Museum is a walk-through experience featuring vintage cabooses and two 1940s Lounge/Café and Dinning cars -in excellent condition. Visit us on the first and third Saturdays during our work time - 9-12 noon. Painters, woodworkers, cleaners, and electrically-focused helpers are always welcome during this three hour period twice a month. Our museum is at the Fullerton, CA, station on three sidings at the east end of the station. I’m one of the workers and will be happy to give you a personal tour.
Meanwhile, the annual is a $10 publication, yet, worth the price.
