WHERE ARE THE PICS?

tac, ig, ken the GFT and The ‘No pics - no happen’ Boys

I got so busy I didn’t take one single picture the whole weekend, but there were plenty of others that did…

Our Invasion trip continued after Sunday morning at Doug’s and we all heaaded to the Finger Lake Live Steamers in Marengo/Clyde, New York on Monday. They hosted a fantastic passenger operations. This is the third year we have done this and each year it works smoother and now includes switching out on the line. I got to run a USA Hudson on train 1. What a beast with revolution and Phoenix sound. Wow!

I thought sure there were some pictures taken, maybe they’ll show.

We have settled in to a campground near LBI, NJ for some family time. However, I am going to sneak over to Ken’s tomorrow for some narrow gauge OPs.

The Saga continues.

Yesterday evening we officially ended the Canadian Invasion 2014 with our arrival back in Carlyle. Both of us wish to thank everyone that made this adventure such fun. There should be many miles on the rails and lots of pavement under our trailer and truck tires, but we are already planning next year’s adventure north.

The saga continues.

Welcome home, Ric… Were you gone???

Nope, and I’m not leaving again today either.

Hey folks

Up in Ottawa this year, someone was talking to Martha about their (sister/cousin/someone) Nissan Altima, but we cant remember who. There was a mention of recalls, etc? Will is looking at a used one, and we’re gathering as much info as we can on them. Ring a bell for anyone?

Bob,

I was not in Ottawa but my wife owns a 2013 Altima, the only recall on her car is for the passenger side airbag. They have to do a reprogram on it, the car fails to detect that a passenger is in the seat sometimes. But after my wife’s recent illness and dropping below 100 lbs it still does not detect her unless she sits properly in the seat. So far it is a good car and for it’s size gets decent gas mileage.

Don

It seems that Bob has made image uploading far more intuitive than it used to be. What a relief! Thanks, Bob, the way it was had left me desperate. I’ll be back more often now!

It was great to see everybody again at this year’s invasion. The picture below gives you Johnnychuffchuff’s summary of the event. For those who may not recognize our faces, that’s Ken Brunt in the starring role of my disgruntled Yankee prisoner.

As I see it, if Ric says he’s already planning for next year’s invasion, I reckon we Canadians just weren’t repulsive enough…

Enjoy, fellas…
