To help stimulate interest in this years challenge, I offered up a 2nd place prize of a large stretched canvas print of the winners choice. Todd Haskins walked away with 2nd place in the voting to my “Shorty Caboose” (which would have been embarrassing if I had won my own prize). Todd had a great deal of trouble finding the pic that he wanted printed (hard drive crash) but finally retrieved it. Here is the finished 24 x 32 of a Great Winter shot.

The photo was taken during the “Steam in the Snow Excursion” railfan day up in NH at the Conway Scenic RR a few years back. For those interested it was a terrific trip and they gave us several opportunities for us fools to pile out, and stand in the snow while the train backed up and gave us run bys. It was both cool and cold. I have a couple of videos on youtube from the day go to capecodtraintodd and look to steam in the snow 1,2 and 3. There is some nice steaming action.
