Very nice Bob…gives me some ideas for the docks on the “shoe”

Looks great Bob.

Cool!

I’m surprised how much better it looks with the dock on it.

Looks good. I’m waiting on the doors and windows.

Doors and windows will go in after the main body is painted. Probably later this week.

Looks great Bob

Other loading dock done. That’s about all I can do until I can paint the main body, then I can attach the doors and windows.

Working doors?

Found a couple more photos of the transfer, but nothing that shows any detail. This one shows the end in the distance.

This one is an aerial shot, and shows the transfer tucked in behind the larger warehouse that was built sometime in the 1950s (?). Still no details, except that the roof seems completely bare.

Interestingly, this one shows the complete extent of the RR. The road at the bottom of the photo was elevated, and there was a retaining wall along the track there. The track goes a bit under the highway on the right, then curls around. Here’s the 1928 trackplan.

Area was about 487 by 350 feet.

Warm enough today to open the shop windows, put on an exhaust fan, and start spraying some base color.

Bob This keeps looking better each step. The loading docks set it off.

One set of windows done. Not TOO bad.
