Large Scale Central

2010 Season begins on the IPP&WRR

The fine Friar has sent me some pictures of the pending improvement to the Ironwood, Peter’s Pond and Western Railroad. Work begins early to make the deadlines of the opening date, which is less than 7 months away. This is Nelson Yard looking from the east, before the destruction -

this is after the crew started the improvements -

Isn’t it amazing what a few burgers, a few beverages of choice, some friends and a little determination can do? We look forward to the construction progress reports as the improvements continue.

Ya’ so the crew is there laboring while he travels the states like some flamboyant playboy. Wasn’t he just recently on the west coast? Seem’s he made this recent rail excursion on the east coast as well and spotted on #216 in front of Lemo?

It took a long time for Fred to get from Peter’s Pond to Lemo. Those engines were touring the IPP&W in 2007
