2008 Redmond Creek Christmas layout

Started working on this years layout the past Friday. Took a couple hours to lay the track. Even though I have it written down exaclty which piece goes where I always find that it is slightly different each year. Saturday, I put down the road bed. This takes even longer than laying the track. Sunday, I started the wiring and finished today. Tested it out and perfecto! Got the trolly line down, road bed, wired and test run. Again, perfecto! Worked on getting lights in the passenger cars and caboose for the first time today. All works great!

Gonna start the scenery tomorrow. Will be posting pictures and videos once it’s finished.

Here are a couple vids and pics from last years layout.

Cool.
I have a couple of “Christmas Trains” to run on my outdoor layout.
I like what you do. Much warmer indoors.

Nice lookin layout. Ever think of leaving it up year round?

Tim,
Video tip.
The shorter the car you are pushing with the camera, the more track you will see and less walls when you round the curves.

Nope! As it usually takes me about a week to set this all up and we have obligations for this week, need to start this when I did.

Yup... but you can'ts get much shorter than the loco in this case.
