We have a change in schedules. I talked to Harry and we’ll be bringing “the Timesaver” to Perry, Ga. He said there was room available, so we plan to be there on Thursday. Talking it around, looks like we’ll have a number of families coming south for the show from the Gateway Garden Railroad Club.

Ric:Glade to here you all will be comming to Perry with the time saver this should be neat. I know I’ll be looking forward to meeting you all. Some day when I’m passing through St Louis on my way to KCMO, got to make a point to stop by. Later RJD GGRS

No matter which way you come from the east, you pass within only 19 miles of our house. Your always welcome.

Ric Don’t be surprised if I take you up on the offer. Later RJD

All: Only 35 days till SELSTS show. Times getting short for any that have not ordered their banquet tickes also. Almost gone so don’t be disappointed if its sold out by waiting to the last min. Lot of folks disappointed last year and we sold out and its looks like this year also. So If you missed out last year don’t delay get em while there hot. Later RJD GGRS

We went past Perry on our way north, Thursday. Grabbed a bite at the Subway right outside the fairground gates. Looks like about a 9-10 hour trip from here. Checked out hotel and town, looks like an enjoyable place.

Only 9 days to show time. So here is hoping weather holds for then. Ric were you spending time in Florida? What think of the fair ground. Later RJD GGRS

We were in Tampa for the 2007 International Marina and Boatyard Conference. Left on Thursday morning before the tornadoes hit that area. We had 3 enjoyable days of riding the Tampa Trolley, Convention Station was right out our hotel door. The Operators are knowlegable and great conversationalist, once they find out you are interested in the trolleys. Trolley equipment is in great shape and should be a continued draw for the area. I would recommend it to anyone that visits that area. All day pass for $4.00., cheaper than the parking.

Time getting short better pack em up and move out . See ya there. Later RJD

Arrived in Perry at 2145 on Wednesday night, prepping for setup on Thursday. First thing we had to do was get rid of salt, ice and road dirt of van. That thing was a rolling pollution site. Local temps around 40 degrees at 2200. That’s probably 20 degrees warmer than the high in Carlyle today. I’ll try to update tomorrow night as to what happened during setup. Pics will have to wait until we get back to the Carlyle, but I’m sure others will post. Later.

Saturday night, played hard for 2 days - exhausted. Great fun, saw lots of friends and, I think, made some new ones. Switched the Timesaver and Inglenook for 18 hours in 2 days. I know there are pictures on LSOL and probably some on MLS. I’ll post pictures after we get home. We sure saw "Southern Hospitality, ate well and had a good time. Thanks to everyone.

Home safely about 5:00 pm local time. Van is unloaded except the “Timesaver” and starting to get life back in order. Great time, great people, great show. I’ll try to get pictures posted tomorrow.

Sounds like you are well trained for ECLSTS
