20 years of Large Scale Central

On the night of June 29-30, 2000, LSC was born, as a result of The Great Schism, which had occurred a day or two before (memory is a bit hazy).

Has it really been 20 years? Holy cow. There are a number of you who have been around since the beginning, and many of you are new to the site. I want to thank you all for your continued support. We’ve had ups and downs, but generally continue the course of providing the best site for large scale modeling.

I’ve met some great people, lost some good friends, and only had to ban a few people outright. All in all LSC has been a great place, due to all of you.

Wow Bob - Thanks for putting up with us for all these years. I was a few years late to the party, but been here since the original weird software.

Happy Birthday to both BD and the site. So far it has been the best ride in the hobby. Lots of good people, some good friends and acquaintances, loaded with tons of info and one of a kind builds… Also home to the RRR group, the MIK challenge, and Napkin Builders of LSC.(https://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Hello Bob.

Thanks for 20 years of never ending effort on your part, to make our lives just that little bit better.

I count myself lucky as to have also been here from the start.

From memory the schism occurred whilst I was traveling overnight from Australia to the USA for the Garden Raiilway Convention that year.

Looks like I went to my first show in '07. I was shy and didn’t meet anyone until the following year, then joined in '09. Something about a tee shirt was involved.

Thanks to Bob I have met a lot of good friends who share their experience freely. Some way too much.

BTW those decals were made my Stan Cedarleaf. If he reads this, maybe we can get him to do a 20th Anniversary Edition!
