I really like that Jerry. Very nice.
Very nice indeed! Can’t wait to see it finished!
Cool!
Jerry - that is looking REALLY great!! Over here we love our Shays, too - between us, Broos and I have seven of 'em. Now, since I’m going over to Canada next week, can I expect to find this metallic duct tape there as well? All I got here was a blank look…

I get my Nashua brand metal duct tape at Ace or True Value stores here in the good ol’ USA. (I live in Nebraska)Tape is on a roll, just like any tape, but has a peel off backing. Be sure to texture/etc before peeling it off. DON’T buy any other brand(how do I know?) it is half the thickness of metal as the Nashua.
Thanks, and yes I HAVE heard of Canadian Tire, seeing as how we live in Canada as well as the UK - just never heard of the metallic tape before is all. As my trains are all here, I tried the local humungous B&Q [like Lowes or Home Despot] to save the schlep back to UK with a 100m roll of metallic duct tape - and got the blank stare…

I rounded up several spray cans to get some weathering on my shay. Will use some chalks soon. Roof is still loose at this point.

Still got a ways to go. Weathering the wood sections right now for more variety there.
Looks good Jerry. Now you need to build a string of log cars to go with it.
Nice!!
Great work!
Awesome Jerry!! Looking great!
Nice!!
Soooooweeeeet!
Ain’t my cup of tea Jerry but I can certainly appreciate the work!
Well Done!
Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Yeah David, I started this years ago, been bumping into it every once in awhile. I don’t have much NG stuff anymore. Buddy wants to buy this from me, if I decide to sell.
I finished up the 2 cylinder, runs real nice on the 9.6 battery pack that is in the trailing gondola.
