1930's large scale NYC Hudson loco

Hey guys:

Here is a product from the 1930’s that would be nice for Lionel , as present owner of American Flyer, to bring back:

Another great NYC Hudson locomotive model brought out during the Great Depression.

Lionel and AC Gilbert seemed to have had really bad timing in bringing out their best ever products during the worst ever economy!

Given the state of the 1930’s economy I don’t think that too many youngsters were builiding this loco.

Look at how advanced this model is. This was 1930’s mfg metal stamp technology.

" The large wheels measure 3 1/2 inches in diameter and are 2 1/2 inches apart inside to inside "

24 * 2 1/2 inches = 48 " + 12 " = 4 feet 12" or approx 4 feet 8 1/2 inches at American standard gauge trackage

Another case for a rebirth of 1/24 scale? I know 1/24 scale has bit the dust, but you can’t blame me for trying!

Really interesting piece of American history built to I guess 1/24 scale.

Blows me away as to how advanced this model of 1930 - 1937 was.

I can’t imagine it would be cheap but it could be popular!

That is amazingly cool! Actually, not a bad price there on eBay for that.
