But I didn’t see one train! :frowning:

Ah! John, you didn’t spot the subway train on the Moscow Metro then. Right hand side of the pic.

Only 1 from America and that is one of the older ones on the list most were new and ultra modern.

Thanks Dennis

The Moscow station is by far the most elegant, IMHO.

At one time, up to a few years ago, Flinders Street Station held the longest platform in the world. I think they shortened it but I cannot remember why. I recall being up on the 3rd floor of the place when I was applying for a job with VR,as a kid, and there was a recreation area for staff that also held a couple of full size billiards table among other things. What struck me most about that area was all the Oak panelling on the walls up there. Probably not even used now. :frowning:

Hate to say it, but they do that to try to take’s people’s minds off the fact that trains are a 19th century transportation system.

I have to confess I prefer the older style stations rather than the modern ones.

Ray, and? People pay to travel by cruise ship, ships predate the railroads by a few years. Then there is the early 20th century transportation many people use, automobiles. And then there is flying, heck some of those planes are older then…you would really want to know.

Yeah… we were all born too late…

Very cool, thanks for the link, Dennis. I liked Taiwan and Liege best of aLL…
