So what did everyone do on 10-10-10? It was my day to run on the club layout at Greenbee Nursery in Palmdale. A new LGB 0-4-0 takes it’s maiden volyage. It’s break-in went well.

Nothing rr-wise. I did some cement block work around the septic tank hole. Fun, eh?
So you were just being holy?
I relished the win…>Gamecocks over Alabama the previous afternoon…
Aliens due on 10-13-10…so they say?
As mentioned here I had a swell day getting NOWHERE on the computer. But that was then and this is now: MSP8 is up and running in XP Mode. About time, too, the raw footage has been piling up.
BTW, good thing I keep all the paperwork from the net downloads, comes in handy when years later the software has to be reinstalled on a new machine.
Nah, Hans, you just talked nice to it!
I attended the French Bonsai Masters exhibition and had a couple of trees in it. Amongst them, this Japanese black corticosa pine.

Nice to meet some old friends again
Oooops!!!
Seems my reply went completely out of topic…
Sorry for that
You may not have run trains but you had fun! And that would sure be nice on a layout!
After my customary Sunday morning duties I visited a nearby Open Day. It was a lovely warm summer type day, even if we are now officially in Autumn/Fall, and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
It was a non-powered railroad: battery and live steam being the order of the day. It gave me the first real opportunity to see live steam locos close at hand - usually I have viewed them at a distance at exhibitions/shows.
I don’t think live steam is for me - not being of a mechanical bent plus having two left hands, but I know at the Show I will be attending later this month I will pay far more attention to the live steam exhibits than I have done on previous occasions.
I took a drive and took a few pictures. It was Sunday, so there wasn’t a lot of train traffic.
But I did get some nice pictures, which I posted under Prototype. Ran across the largest “Round Up” sprayer I’ve ever seen. Travels with three of it’s own tank cars.

On 10-10-10 drove across town to the west side of LA that I hate cause the traffic is horrendous, to see a movie SWMBO wanted to see that was playing in a grand total of 2 theaters here in LA, “Nowhere Boy” about Beatle John Lennons teen age years, it was Lennons birthday BTW, dam dam good movie, survived the drive back. That was about it. Oh and I moved the train storage shelves in the garage to the opposite side walls where I can actually reach the dam things.
10-10-10 was a wonderful day… had trains running from about 11:30 am, till 6:30 pm…
Victor Smith said:I wish I had read your review a few weeks ago. Nowhere Boy played a few weeks ago at the theater they are restoring in downtown Danbury along with a live appearance of the current incarnation of the Quarrymen.

Let’s see…10-10-10…I was pulling into the Sanford Farmers Market for a few hours sleep before making a delivery across the street at Todd’s Tomatoes, then headed down to West Palm Beach, FL, but that was after midnight so it was actually 10-11-10…
