1/20.3 scale wood siding?

Afternoom, Guys - anybody there know of a source of 1/20.3 ‘wood’-effect siding to use as overlays on a couple of otherwise smooth-sided cabeese I’m converting to RGS?

'spose I could always use the real thing, carefully tapering the edges to enhance the individual nature of each board, but hey, there are only so many heartbeats apportioned to each of us, and I’d rather be running trains, me.

TIA

I generally use either Evergreen’s 1/8" or 3/16" “V” groove siding, or Midwest’s basswood sheets of the same. Recently, I’ve been going more and more with the styrene simply because it holds up better if the car gets wet. (I recently had to replace a roof on one of my cars that got left out in the rain, warping beyond reason. (Hmm, could that be why the prototype went to metal roofs?)

And did I mention cheap?

Thanks, guys, it looks like the OM tall stuff is the bill-footer - I just e-mailed them asking why there are no UK distributors anymore… :+(

tac,
Be careful with the OM stuff - it’s rather thick if you’re going to be putting it over something.

Yus, thanks for the reminder, Bruce - I had quite forgotted how thick it really was.

BTW, I got a nice little e-mail response from Dave at OM about the UK suppliers and their lack of stock. In fact, not even enough to be called a lack, as neither of them had anything at all.

Guess I’ll wait till I’m over in the spring and get the bits I need locally [ie. Oregon].

Whinemeal, I’ll think o’ somethin’.

Best to yes all.
