Inspired by Ric’s project, I whipped out a 1:20.3 flat. The Gordon Logging division of the CCRR purchased a nearly new International TD24 dozer and a Karrey logging arch. They needed some way to get it from the interchange up to the camps. So the shop built a heavy flat. It scales out to 38’ long and 9’ wide. The IH TD 24 is 1/25 scale. A 1/16 would be way too huge. So we’ll pretend for now the TD24 is 1:20.3
John,
Very nice!!!
Like that combo they look good together.
Nice. You whipped out a fine flat.
That is an impressive load too.
Ralph
Nice job John. Your work is great.
Cool!
I especially like the reasoning for it!
PLease smash some more boxes for me!
I like! Very nice.
Looking good John. Nice dozer
Thanks, Guys!
I forgot to mention the flat “fish belly” frame is the same LGB flat that Ric is working on. Only I didn’t widen it.
I glued a new, wider wooden floor on it instead. The trucks were replaced with arch-bars.
Nice work!
Where did you get the tractor?
Ray,
Got it off of good ol’ Ebay.
COOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!
