The E.B.T. RR has its own planer for making point rails and fabricating frogs in 3’ gauge.
Well that makes sense, since the E.B.T. was narrow gauge long after most narrow gauge railroads dried up and blew away. So they sort of had to roll their own.
One of my customers is in the design and manufacture of mining railroad equipment. Much of what they work with is 42 inch gauge. Someone, somewhere, has to be making the switches for these railroads.
