I didn’t and later found out that if I had only built my tracks about 8" longer I could have held another car on each of my yard tracks. I ended up extending my yard, but it would have been a LOT easier if I had tried to operate first. So not just cars, but can you put a loco on there and try out some moves?
I’m on track power. The yard complex is isolated from the main. I’m sure I will probably have to isolate spots within the yard too. The track in the yard and the approach are not yet properly connected. I have a few sections that need cut. I would have liked to make the two A/D tracks longer…but I would have had to drop one track from the yard to do so. The yard itself is now a little shorter…I’ve run out of track. But it can be lengthened easily enough. Ralph
