Sorry Jon. I do like your website though, all the pics.
Jon-
As long as you understand we are all irreverent sonsabitches, or irascible reprobates, you’ll understand!
OK. An email conversation I had tonight got me to thinking that it’s actually not thread hijacking that I object to. When a thread reads like a conversation that naturally branches off in different directions that’s a good thing. What got me torqued was when a new post was added simply to bait or name call one who had replied. The mini war that erupted totally threw the thread off the deep end. Starting this thread was my vent, and I think the obvious hijacks are pretty funny. Yes TOC I do understand I knew there would eventually be some name calling. I just didn’t expect one to be calling himself names :o Bryan - Thanks for the comments on the pictures. I need to come up with a better way to organize them and perhaps add some captions. We are working on a photo gallery for our website at work. When it’s done perhaps I can hijack the code. Y’all feel free to take this in any direction ya want from here. I’m done being a
I ran some trains and I feel better now. JR
I’m with you Jon in your thread topic, and running trains.
Did not get to run any today, got home when it was dark, but got 2 ups packages with lots to do this weekend… 50 SJ rail clamps, so I’ll be working on the railroad!

That’s what I’m waiting for, the 50 SJ clamps! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Funny, some people have trouble finding them, and others find them no problem.
I just call my top 4 places until I find some in stock.
Funny thing, at 22 vrms DCC, bad joiners “sing” if you have a nice load somewhere beyond them. Also, joint gets hot! The Aristo joiners suck, but the track is a good price.

Greg,
And other people have a dealer who “thinks” he has them in stock - it’s the Code250s I need - but then discovers that he’s “mistaken” and two weeks later - when I finally call to find out if it went by Coureur de Bois - tells me that he had to order from the mfg.
That’s what my GRRRRRRRRRRRR is for.
But that will only happen once, next time I’ll get the bulk order right from the mfg.
BTW I jumper my home made joiners - let them sing!
WOW! A non train thread that was (succesfully) hijacked into a train thread!?!?!? Will wonders never cease?
(ducking and running again!)
Chas
Chas,
Would you believe that was the second time this week??

Yeah, my last order arrived three days AFTER the show I needed them for. I hasten to add that this was entirely my fault; I did not allow enough lead time. Got another show in two weeks. Haven’t had time to do any of the improvements I had planned. It’s that pesky j*b thingy, plus looking after another generation of infant prodigies. Hey, I did this 30+ years ago, how come I’m doing it again? Grandpa is exhausted.
Yep, I use stainless, so if the guy at the store looks at stock casually, he probably can see the difference between SS and Brass! Since SS only come in one flavor, I’m safe. Your code 250’s are probably much more scarce! I assume they are brass. Maybe wishful thinking on the shop owners part.
