Where !!! I pray not here !!!
50’s here. It’s a heat wave.
Quick funny story.
I went to Vegas in the winter. It was 80 it was 5 at home. So the ex Mrs and i went to the pool.
The conversation:
Them: “where are you going? can we help you?”
Us: “To the pool.”
Them: “The POOL!?!?”
Us: “yeah, it’s like 80 outside”
Them: “where are you from?”
Us: “Ohio”
Them: “Oh, we’re sorry, we didn’t realize anyone would want to use the pool in winter. We can have a pool open in 30 minutes. Here’s dinner and drink comps and $100 in free play on us for not having a pool open for you.”
Got the Jordan spreader out today and gave it a few test lap runs before the white stuff falls. Kinda looked funny only being pushed by an nw2 and nothing else but hey it was a test run
75 yesterday 35 today.
74, grilling burgers for lunch. shorts and crocs for the Vet Day Parade this afternoon…
Well we don’t have snow, TG, but it is cold and I was able to do some repair work on the road bed. Maybe tomorrow I can put dowm the track board and some track. It got TOO wet and just fell off the posts, nothing broke but made me mad! I envy those who live about 15 degrees of latitude south of here.

It got up to 42 today. I’m still barefoot, but haven’t spent much time outside.
74 this afternoon, it was nice.
The weather guesses are calling for a high of 47 for tomorrow. I may go into thermal shock.
Sunny and 70 here today in GA. High of 67 tomorrow. May cool down some by the week end. 50 and rain then. Later RJD
27F and windy, here in beautiful Deer Park. At least the sun is shining. CAVU.
CAVU. There is a term I haven’t heard in a while. In the CAP I used the phase “severe clear” with my cadets. They thought that was funny.
Upper peninsula of Michigan got over 12 in of snow today…deer season is in a couple days, maybe they will hibernate.

I’m afraid I’ve become a southerner in less than a year in Oklahoma. It was 24 this morning and I thought it was cold.
Another CAVU day, cold, windy. 27 F at 2:00 pm. I first used CAVU as a CAP Cadet when Curt Le May was Chief of Staff, USAF.
As Steve says it is CAVU but COLD as the grass is still frozen. But the sun is out although not in the back yard where the tracks are located. Had to repair a major section that fell down, wood screws don’t hold well in near rotten 4x4 even if treated! So 8" 5/16 Hex bolts all the way through the 4x and 2 2x4’s supporting the track. Will not fall down again! Now on to the next track project, the mid level track that got damaged. And it is part of the main line. As long as there is sun and clear sky.

21F in Redmond OR today with two feet of snow…according to my pal Bill, who moved there to get away from the fires in the Rogue Valley…
Looks like he got his wish, eh?

Snows here this evening. Rats! Just a dusting on the grass though.
A little frost on the windshield this morning. 25 degrees (-4C).
Light Snow in Chama, NM. 34 Degrees cloudy. Still working on Loco’s, two tenders parked the engine house.
