Its not my first, Have both a Lumberjack I built from a kit and a Shay that I built from a kit. I also have a Fairymead and Emma. I share ownership with a friend of mine, he cant run them, but loves watching them run. I cant afford them but he can. So its a perfect partnership. Cheers Mike
Mike - what a great way to run a railroad!
Everyone benefits and everyone has fun! What could be better than that?

That was our thoughts Tac. He has a nice ground level line in his front yard that is only for battery power and live steam. I rigged up a LGB DRGW#50 with a switch and a standard RC car battery that he can place on the track with a few cars and watch run when I am not around. When we are both together, I bring the steamers. He has both the LGB/Aster K28 and the Unitah Mallet, but we are waiting on Ross at Zionsville Train Depot to build the battery/RC reciever car to run them outdoors. It will house a Crest Train Engineer system and a bank of Lipo batterys and plug into the LGB’s thru their lighting ports on the rear. Both will have thier track pickups disconnected. Cheers Mike
