thanks.
i didn’t see much of the car, but it is an impressing layout.
hmmm, i don’t get it. what is whimsy about that? a bunch of normal people at a whistle stop.
(that must be somewhere here around, because most of the guys i know almost my entire life)

I was going to say, “I won’t touch this topic with a 30 foot rubber chicken.”
But then @Todd_Brody’s “California Experience” car came to mind.
oh, yeah! that’s a nice one!
I…am…speechless…
Who comes up with these designs anyway?
I’m retired and can not see me even remotely coming up with something like this!
I wouldn’t want my neighbors looking over my fence and seeing this creation rolling along the backyard. They would think I lost sight of all of humanity…Screw it, I would do it in a flash!!
Todd B., for one, haha! He has some wild stuff on his Lizard Bash layout
All of my builds are whimsical. It’s just what I do:
But a bit a of whimsey can even be added to things like a sound card. The start routine is out of the ordinary, unexpected, and leaves a smile on your face.

i love them all.
but, what most presses me now, how do you keep your horses in the tread mills?
magnets?
Magnetic horse shoes. Then there is a magnet under the spinning wheel mounted to the chassis that attract the front shoes and keep the horse in place.
But the two rear wheels also have magnets embedded in their “insides” set at 180 degrees and these repel the horseshoes such that the back of the horse wiggles back and forth to make him “gallop.”
Amazing stuff Todd. Thanks for sharing the videos.
Remarkable drawings by Sigi Strasser in the railway section of the Vienna Technology Museum display whimsical Fictional Locomotives .
They can be found here.

There’s something for everyone… Mordor & even More Umlauts.
