sounds like a short to the rails or something that drains the pack rapidly.
Well, I can take one off the list:
It’s now alive:
so it’s a little cleaner…

working on a freight house… or something along those lines.
what is on my workbench?
plenty of stuff and junk i’m afraid.
All projects have been cleared up in the last few weeks except for these. New projects coming soon.

I’ve been meaning to ask you Nick, is that crane getting motored by you? or, Who makes it?
Joe, Crane is a completely scratch built 250 ton unit, it will be fully functioning.
Boom raises up and down and hook goes in and out at this point. It will swivel
and have operating out riggers when finished. Testing on with battery power now,
but when finished will be fully DCC with sound and smoke. I will take better pictures
and write something up as I get closer to being done. It will be fully detailed and
lettered for the NYC XM Uint.

Sweet!!
This is as neat as it gets. Basement work area. Notice to the left the hanging shoe rack. It is great for storing cars that I’m working on, although they never seem to leave there. They are kind of “out of sight, out of mind.” But I offer it as a storage suggestion.

This shot is what I’m trying to get cleared out of the shops. When I got done painting and lettering these 2, I found they ran in opposite directions! So I reconfluguled the wires, then the headlights were backwards! The easiest solution was to solder in extra wires front & rear. Now I have to reassemble and finish details that got broken off.

“Now I have to reassemble and finish details that got broken off.”
That’s something that I find frustrating. Seems like some details are way too fragile! Would be nice if they were cast or brass.
I know I know, then the price will go up. It’s amazing to me that some details sneeze off.
This is my own fault. I made dummy yellow beacon lights for the top of cab from a clear yellow knitting needle, and in transporting to a show they got knocked off and lost. I also need to make a firecracker antenna for each. I’m going to look for the right size wire like that guy Bob McGown talked about in his diesel rebuild.
But now it’s sunny, I gotta go work outside while I can.
It got to the point where I was searching for a part or a tool for half an hour that was right in front of me. My workbench becomes a storage shelf when not in use. So when I go back to a project, it’s frustrating to find stuff. Before each attempt, I should just take the half hour up front to straighten up. What fun would that be???

Reworking a older kitbash with a new Lil Hauler drive. Then taking the old kitbash drive to repair my Lil Hauler Railbus bash.
Updates:
Lily the Lil Hauler boxcab just needs a couple parts to arrive to be finished.
The Lil Hauler Railbus is now sporting a USA Speeder drive in lieu of its botched NWSL magic carpet drive.
…and I am currently adding cylinders and siderods to my Lil Hauler saddletanker.
Pics later

Joe, if you did that, you wouldn’t be able to find anything.
I use the archeology method. If I can remember how long ago I last used something, I know how deep to dig.
