This should be the link to the Tribute to Jim by his close friend and co-author.
Oh no, I’m sorry to hear this. Jim was a positive voice in the hobby. He always offered kind words and inspiration to trains and RR projects. He will be missed.
Well this truly sucks as Jim was awesome IMO. I texted and did LSC chat with him quite a bit (back in the day in the hood {he liked that saying}).
I actually turned him onto PVC board when he started building with styrene. I remember sending him a care package of his first test sheets of PVC board. He was excited to receive them however some how there was a label mix up with USPS and he received a roll of bubble wrap instead. He texted and said OK ROOSTER whats the joke cause I’m not getting it…
I feel Jim is where he wants to be with Donna so I’m good with that. However it’s still a great loss to LSC .
RIP Jim. I miss you already. Sympathies to his family.
Awe man. One of my favorites on here. Now my Rowson sand house means even more to me. I’ll miss you Jim
Jim was published in GR in 2020,
And I think they did an article on his railbus but I haven’t found it yet.
Anyway, for a relative newbie to the hobby Jim sure jumped in and made big good waves.
Wow , what a life well lived. I feel honored to have even met him, not often you meet or get one on one with someone like him. Truly he will be missed.
