Warwick Water Tower

Now if I can get Bob to put up a couple of other builds that he has done it may just keep him busy enough for me to sneak over into his yard and grab the water tower!

John,

I saw a brief question about boards or something, then it disappeared. Are you asking about the welds on the Water Tower or the clapboard on one of my other builds?

Vinny

You bringing Bob to York with you?

Bob

I’m thinking that you see the pics because you are logged into the account they are posted on(google/flicker) but when you log out they go away . Is it possible to post them without logging in like Vinny has? Either way love the build and Photobucket is very friendly here!

It’s all good!

Now that I have figured out how to post pictures I might just be inclined to and the Water Tower is not on the layout, yet.

Bob,
Posting pictures is part of the hazzing ritual for joining this fraternity I think. I know it took me forever to figure it out and I don’t know why becuase it’s easy. But it seems many new comers struggle with it.

Devon, that’s by design, and every site is different somehow. Similar, but different

Some of use smart alec’s can do more than post pics!

Welcome to the insanity!!!

That is exactly what the problem is! I just signed out of Google Photos and then into LSC and the photos disappeared. I really dislike Photobucket because it is dog slow and there are way to many adds but if that is what I need to use then I guess I have no choice unless I want to waste more time trying to figure out the Google issue.

I agree PB can be slow and yes there are adds. However depending on what you use for a browser you could run and add blocker. I run Firefox and use add-block plus as an add-on which works well. You can also disable the add block plus for what ever sites you wish (like here). I personally don’t have google or flickr accounts so I cannot say how friendly or unfriendly they are to post and share. Another option is to purchase a “Freight Shed” for $25 and load them here.

I have a freight shed and a Flickr account. I use both, depending on what site I want to post the pictures on (LSC or another site).

I have been FORCED to learn how to use Google Photos.

Picasa is supposed to stop being supported REAL SOON now.

I have tons of pics on/Picasa albums.

Google photos:

  1. Find the photo you want to post
  2. Right click
  3. Choose Copy image address
  4. Click on Mountain with a dot in it(next to the chain symbol)
  5. Paste the link into the Insert/Edit Image
  6. Constrain image size if needed
  7. Click OK
  8. Below is an image stolen from an ECLSTS series of pics from Lou… a while back.
  9. Randy Lehrian and friend-I look forward to meeting them at the Narrow Gauge Convention in Augusta, Maine this September.
  10. Randy’s topic about the 2016 Narrow Gauge Convention
  11. Randy Leherhan

(https://photos.google.com/photo/AF1QipMzWgFi8yZ3iaOXaaQAVGCASkrcr-LhXEyZpyug)wWell that didn’t work. I think I will just stick with PhotoBucket.

Since its HTTPS:// then maybe you might have to be logged in to see it. And since it didn’t end with a .jpg ( or bmp/png), it isn’t a valid photo URL

Bob, I like the typewriter look a lot!!!

It would nice if you could have this as the default font but I don’t see a way to set it, not that I have spent too much time looking.

You might like it, but it’s harder to read than the default font.
