USAT F3 repalcment Farr air grilles, any interest?

Nice to know you did not fall off the planet… know what you mean about work and other things, started a new job, up to 10-12 hours every day… but no more 3 hour commute, so my time away from home is the same.

When you get closer, we should review our “orders”, I will probably “up” my quantities.

Regards, Greg

yep. keep me in mind for three sets.

I’ll take 2 pairs for A-units and 2 pairs for B-units

oh good point, 2 “A”'s and a “B”

Michael, I’m going to have to bow out. I replaced my USA F3’s with LGB F7’s this week. Hope my meager order doesn’t screw up your plans. Good luck on your project, they certainly will make the engine better looking for sure.

maybe it would be good to publish the “existing list”?

Greg

I’ll compile a list of those interested, have to collect emails and refer to inquiries on LSC and MLS. Give me a few days to get this done, I’ve got some flue bug or something…

Michael

Hope you get the Flue bug gone soon. It’s a bummer this time of the year…

Beside I’m getting tired of running your old roll stock that Is here. We need to ware out some of your newer stock… hehehhehe…

Least the Layout is back running again with another 100 feet or more added on.
Get well, talk Later, Noel

Noel… is it good to have any time of the year?

Nope it not, but sun is out and blooms are starting to show here now and he and I need to start run trains to get more of the body and trains bug out of our sys’s. … . lol.

Worked on the CAD files for the grilles a little today, they scaled nicely when plotted with the refined dimensions. I’ll be forwarding the files to the etching company next week.

Working on a list of those interested in grilles, I’m going to produce at least a 100 pair of grilles for “A” units and likely less for “B” units as there seems to be a little less interest for the “B’s”.

Got over the flue and my seasonal allergies decided to play with me, must be the “blooms” Noel noted…

Noel, I’m kinda busy this weekend but would like to run a few engines you haven’t seen yet. I’ll give you a jingle.

Michael

Michael, I’m pretty sure you have my list, but I might up my count for the B units. I have an AABBBA and an ABBA setup that will need grills.

Regards, Greg

Im up to needing 4 pairs, and can see buying more. I am going to bash ( USAT) a couple “FP” units and a FPL unit in future that have a longer Grille ( like 1.655 inches on 1:29 scale I believe, 4 ft extra on prototypes, that’s 48 inches Divided by 29…) Thanks! Let me know how you want your money…BL

Here is a Prototype. made in 1950 its a EMD Demonstrrator #930 originally. F7 unit. Supposed to be original grilles from what Im told… pics taken 4-06-2014

Maybe more later

Bruce,

Killer pictures… I new the grilles were raised verses flat as the USAT F3 grilles but wow, seeing is believing!

Waiting for a samples to be produced and scrutinized again.

Bill I’m going to order more A&B than are requested, anyway I’m going to have to get the list updated.

Michael

Are you still taking reservations? I need (2) A (1)
