Tools to use

Thanks Ric never thought of that one.

It is what I’ve used for years. If I find a color at a hobby shop that I like, I just take it to the local hardware store. They run it through the confuser and I buy it by the quart made with, exterior flat base. I can name it in their confuser for what it is used for. If you ever need GGRRC layout green, you can get it at Aviston Lumber in Carlyle. But the sample deal at Loews or Home Depot are great for trying different colors. Or if you need just a little bit.

Just a word…not all GOOP is the same…there are different formulas for different purposes for GR use I recommend Lawn and Garden GOOP it comes in a green tube. Its the only one thats actually UV Stable…

Thanks Bart. I will be starting to work onmy first building this weekend. I will try and get pictures and post them. Most of you know what they look like and how they go togather but it gives me something to do and if I mess it up you all can have a good laugh.

Thanks for the info.

Bart, a number of years ago, I got the MSDS sheets for each of the Goop products. They all have the same chemical make up.

India ink mixed with alcohol makes a nice weathering wash. Glad to read this, I have one of their buildings coming also, and the grain tower from Ozark that they have on sale.
