It did not mess it up but displayed the large size video. The fun continues!

Larger yet!
Here is the embed code copied from the normal size video on YouTube. Please try it this way so we can see what happens on your end.
Joe, I’m not copying the embed at full screen size. I don’t think it will make any difference. Let’s try it. Code first, then an embed
Interesting. Today it is not distorting and embedding at a huge size. That was at 1080p. Let’s try that with a newer video not in HD.
So all is well today, except that the spacing is weird after embedding a video witrh that extra “div”.
OK. I give up. Time to go on vacation. . . I’ll be back in a few weeks. I reported the problem on Mozilla Support.
One further clue turned up when I answered a question on the Mozilla forum. Youtube has made changes. Before (3+ months ago?) there was a ‘share’ button below the video, which took you to a popup with the video URL link, and a tab “Embed” that gave you the embed code, an iframe construct.
Now you get all kinds of things (attached image 1), but the “embed” option still gives you the same code - see attached image 2. But if you right-click and select “copy embed code” (attached image 3) you don’t get a window - there is a disturbance in the video center telling you something happened, and when you go to the LSC Embed window, the “ctrl-v” option (paste) does not work but a right-click and ‘paste’ does. See image 4.
Well, progress with the help of a kind guy in CA on the mozilla forum. He found that lots of people have this issue, and it’s related to your Youtube login.

Embed code when logged out:

The above video was done copying embed code while I was logged into my YouTube account. I did not get any additional div code added to it. If that is the solution on your end, my hat is off to you and I hope it works for you. (https://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-smile.gif)
embed code from my youtube login, latest firefox…
embed code again, but while viewing in the larger mode
edited out the size parts in the embed code
edited the size parameters and doubled the height and width
I did not get any additional div code added to it. If that is the solution on your end, my hat is off to you and I hope it works for you.
Joe, from reading (a lot of) the google forum post, it seems to have something to do with the type of account you are signed in with. I can get the regular embed with some of my accounts (I have 2 1/2) but one of them seems to trigger the additional code.
Pete,
This has really been quite a journey. You discovered what appears to be your problem on your own. Good work! I think we all probably learned a little.
