Bheer was not a factor, I don’t drink enough of it. :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue: But back in CH I would stick to Tuborg or Amstel, if it had to be bheer.

Beer was obviously not a factor. Tuborg and Amstel, IMHO, are probably better than any beer brewed on this side of the Atlantic. Ralph

No argument about the quality of German beer from me. Alas, “eine bier, bitte” is about the extent of my knowledge of the German language, as evidenced when I took German in college, and found myself writing all my test answers in French. I figure it’s safer to stick with places that speak the same language. (Or close to it. Allison has to translate for me from time to time.)

... I dunno, Ray. Canadians have better beer. ;) BC is high on our list of "be cool to live" places. Of course, Allison's Canadian, so it would be "going home" for her.

That almost settles anybody’s question on your sanity.

Molson’s?
Labatts?
Moosehead?
Swill?

I mean, back when I drank beer, if you wanted BAD recycled pig’s piXX, you got Canadian, eh?

Could be worse. My introduction to “Bheer” was a warm Kronenbourg, at age 15, in France.

I didn’t touch the stuff for years after that.

Oh No, if you want recycled pig’s piXX, you drink Rolling Rock !

I remember some awfull beer in Texas. A bunch of different "off brands" made by Pearl and Lonestar. Usually $5.00 a case.......in the early 80's. I used to buy Labatts in Detroit for $2.25 a twelve pack. Then some marketing Bozo decided it was imported and the price went to almost $6.00 for a six pack. Ralph

The German bier was sooo good, I couldn’t even stand the smell of an American brew for almost 10 years after rotating back to the States.

I have not found any real German bier locally. Heck, it wasn’t until recent decades that Pennsylvania allowed more than 3.2% alcohol content in beer.

Oh Yes, Lone Star a buck a bottle That tastes like cattle P*** !

Best local Beers I ever had were local Province Beer traveling in China.
