I saw that, very cool to see the church is still in use as an artist center
The church is not too far from me. I've been by it several times as it is right on the tracks of the Housatonic Railroad that I have been known to railfan on occasion :)

Hope all your Thanksgiving Days were more then you expected, and more then just the food.

Alice’s Restaurant… WOW now that brought back some memories… ESPECIALLY for all of us that went thru a large (LA) “Induction Center” in the 60’s. Arlo sure nailed the experience, Only the start of many more provided by the US Army.

Glad nobody took offense to it. I know a lot of you guys are Nam Vets, and our country wasn’t as proud of our vets in that era as we are now. I was a little worred about that after I posted it.

And to get this back to trains - One of my favorite Arlo songs is The City of New Orleans

Always makes me cry - ‘Good mornin’, America how are ya… Don’t you know m I’m your favourite son…’

Always bring a lump to my eye trumpets.

Jon, I gotta ask you - what’s the connection between Alice’s Restaurant and Thanksgiving?

Toldja!

And then they went back to the church and had another Thanksgiving Dinner that couldn’t be beat.

Next was the sherriff with his 8x10 glossy photographs etc. etc.

Have to dig out the LP and refresh my memory.

Thanks guys. I’ve been sittin here on the Group W bench for so long I’d forgotten it was Thanksgiving.

Sheesh and you forgot it's Black Friday, too? I had to get my orders in today.

I was once on the crew of a train that hauled tourists past that church … heard the song for the first time as a kid in grade school! Local radio station here will only play the song on Thanksgiving Day (even excluding it from their “Bet you won’t play it Friday” when they will play ANYTHING else…) but on Thanksgiving, they play the whole 18 minutes of it three times during the day.

Matthew (OV)

I spent Black Friday working off Thanksgiving dinner.

I currently have the buildings in the garage where I just finished the trim.

I have the door and some other parts in the worksjop where I’ve been painting.

And lastly I have one of the roofs in the house on the desk where I just finished that roof. One roof to go! So more cans to crimp!

With walking from one part of the project to another I got my exercise.

Well sorta!
