The way train trees should be

Has anyone tried growing dwarf plants on the desert? The only one that seems to grow for me is Rosemary. I’m going to plant more and see if they can be trained!

I have a few cedars that sprung up in my layout. I’ve been keeping them pruned. Also a elm started growing in my compost pile, I moved it to the layout and keep it trimmed. A rabbit helped me trim it also last winter, I kept chicken wire around it this winter.

I think that if you use a drip irrigation system, they should do well. The Israelis have done this very successfully, and they live in a dessert climate. Check with your local nursery or county extension.
