Why should you get shot down for telling it like it is?
Well put Fred…but there are a few youngin’s that were fortunate enough to purchase the track at say $1 (U.S.) per foot several years ago and hope to keep promoting the large scale trains. I jumped too this scale when my son was born( a starter set for him) and never looked back! I’m hooked… there is enough out there these days that a handy individual can make do. The track prices are the biggest issue as far as I’m concerned.

Along with the above comments, the difference of scale, 1:32, 1:20 etc plus the couplers does not help the situation either.
