The Resurrection of WV&K 119

Bart,

All Locomotives and even “wiesels” have restictions. Bring it, do what you can, leave the rest to others.

So, no tree down picture here???

…no pictures here of the tree death…he posted one on the chat.

All I can say is SHAME…SHAME…he killed a perfectly good tree…I expect he will be subjected to 10,000 camel fleas before too long…!!!

No ther tree died a natural death…it didn;t blossom at all this summer… all dead wood when we split it up today…on its way to becoming a hollow safety hazard for the railroad…

…Bartman…it wasn’t dead; it was just sleeping…trees don’t blossom…it was just sleeping…

It was natural that it died after being chopped down…

It does help to kill a sleeping tree, by chopping it off at it’s roots. Now it is truely dead.
Pictures that have been published don’t show any rot, or any hollow stem…THAT TREE WAS JUST RESTING…shame…shame…

That tree could have lived to give shade with it’s leaves…it could have been a home to little birds…it could have helped to produce oxygen and rid the World of Co2,SHAME…SHAME, all this because the poor tree was tired and decided to take a nap…I’ll never tell you, Bart that I’m taking a nap again…you would probably take a chain saw to me…!!!

Bruce…your birdies have one less tree to nest in…shame, shame…!!!

I would suggest that we take up a collection and send Barty a new tree to plant in the place of the resting tree…how about a “Crimson King, Maple”…it is said that they don’t nap, so might be safe from being mistaken as “Dead”…but remember, Bart…they do loose their leaves in the Fall…that doesn’t mean that they are dead…

If it had maintained its leaves it wouldn’t have been cut down…and it was starting to hollow out in the upper branches…which I feared would come crashing down on something I had worked hard to build since there will be a company town in the former drop zone…

Besides, it'll provide a lot of BTU's in that Chiminea or whatever it's called.............;)

Tree Murderer…

What of the poor tree fairy? Didn’t her death cries bother you?

Ok Back to work after being derailed…working cab windows and fluting applied…

So a good days work, sees paint on the cab and windows…and beginnings of plumbing and piping…and an Auxiliary Steam dome. Also began fabricating the cross compound air compressor…that’s the final hurdle…then we’ll be roaring downgrade…

You do the rivet detail in a drill press?

Nope…just a nail set…

Looking good, bart… I see just in front of the cab is covered with freshly fallen snow…

How many nails are in a nail set? :D

HAhahaha Oldly fallen dust is more likely…No just a plain ol’ pointed nail set, lay out the pattern with a sharpie and emboss by hand…Steve…All of them…
