That looks pretty neat.

I am a bit confused, as always. Why balsa and then styrene? Couldn’t you just use styrene to start with?

What are you going to use for rivet strips?

Hi Bruce

I find it easier if its a solid form like the tank to build up a solid mass of balsa, then I just sheath it with sheet styrene, its far easier and much sturdier than trying to build it hollow shell method. I built an entire shorty boxcar this way.

His next project using this method will be a 70s vintage Chevy. It's called the "Balsa Nova." ;)

Vic should do his own reality TV show. There is the orange county choppers, the guys who make custom motorcycles. Then we have Vic and we call his show the LA train basher

Vic,
very nice take on the old mauler, although reliable power pickup will be a problem.
