a minus infection? oh yeah, that is what sometimes befalls people, who want to leave largescale for smaller toys…

(get well!)

I didn’t wanna get back into HO, but Dave drug me kicking and screaming to a club meeting and they infected me! Time to send Devon the pink hat. What do you think Rooster?

He needs sumthin to get him motivated…(http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

What are you talking about I am motivated into paralysis. I am motivated to do 10,000 things at once so I accomish nothing.

Hey but I do have to say six weeks to go until I graduate. For that I am motivated. I saved biblical Hebrew for last. Ouch, fun, but a tough class.

Devon, just tell them: “ani lo beseda tov.”

Holy cow if only I knew what that meant. I know the consonants, vowel system, and am learning about nouns. Maybe some day I might understand a sentence

Probably about the time the judge hands you one… (http://www.largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)

Ahh, Google Translate says its “I’m not good restaurant”

Me thinks that something got lost in translation.

Funny this thread is going the same way as his out door build!

Yes yes a drift.

well, it is one of the few sentences i still remember from the time i lived in israel.

ani (a like the “u” in duck, i like “y” in pony) = I

lo = no or not

beseda (both e like in bed, a as in duck) = understand

tov = good

hope, you get my drift…

ps. hebrew is simple. like many asian languages and most (south)american native languages it works like lego.

you don’t have : good, better, best - but: good, more good and even more good.

so, once you manage the missing vovels, the “wrong” direction and the different letters, it’s just the different words…

Well this is my second Hebrew class. The first one was very basic and I had a hard time. But this class is much more advanced but the class materials are excellent. They are taking it slow and explaining it to death. I have the direction down just fine. I thought I would struggle with that but now I don’t even think about it, I automatically read it left to right. And that in only two weeks. I have the vowel system down much better than I thought I would. I have about half the consonants memorized but recognize the others well enough to function. Still having a bit of trouble with breaking down syllables, but getting there. I actually am realizing it is pretty easy really. Far fewer rules and exceptions than English. And it seems that the rules apply consistently so once oyu learn them they follow through on most everything. I actually am starting, with the help of a lexicon, to parse out phrases. We just learned how to pluralize nouns and use the definitive article that translates as “the” and the conjunction that translates “and,but,even”, I can recognize the patterns pretty easy even if I don’t get the spelling exactly right (but I can’t do that in English either).

We noticed.
