Very nice Dan !

Great photos Dan D. We tried to get a conv. car for our tour date but missed it. Your looks great on your layout…

Today we put out some trains too due to a very nice summer day. Also, did some repairs on the layout besides cleaning up good old Pine pitch off of some tracks.

We made up two long trains that are running about 50 ft. apart from each other on same tracks and had another train on a siding.

Even ran our Trolleys and fine tune some timers for there runs.

Then had to run Mr. Frog off of our boat dock. There two of them in the Koi pond that when both are on they start to sink it. All you can see is his head under the walk ramp… Legs still in the water.

More trains with difference power. Trying to get all 13 sound sys. charged up and do a little running on each Diesels.

Beside seems like always finding things on the layout to repair.

Due to we are mostly track power, notice a couple of Signal did not change and found a few Hillman jointer that back off.

Here’s a quick shot from this month:

I’m going to relay the bridge tracks to include guard rails, weathering, bridge ties, etc but for now, it keeps 'em up.

Boy Noel, isn’t that the truth, I really like the the Santa Fe War Bonnet Livery. A real classic.

Pennsylvania has had its fair share of rain and storms lately. The Wednesday morning crew was was pulling a string of empties into Robertsdale and had no option but to stop for the hazard the nights storm had placed across the track.

Needless to say there was tension in the air as the bosses don’t take it very well when the mines get shut down because they ran out of empties to fill.

Fortunately there was no damage to the track and only one board knocked off the trestle that should be easy for crews later.

Your photo is not showing up. Check the URL.

my afternoon hot and humid but a good run nonetheless

John,

Your siding sure makes that boxcar lean a bit. Nice shot though. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Ah, that’s a safety feature. See one rail on the siding is lower then the mainline, so cars on the siding don’t have a tendency to wander out onto the mainline. Cars don’t usually wander uphill.

Leaning left is going to keep a boxcar from wandering? Balderdash!

No, having the rail in the siding lower then the mainline will.

Ya see Joe, I was kidding around. Many sidings are made lower then the mainline, to make sure cars don’t wander off onto the main, and I was joking that he incorporated that safety feature, but only to one rail. Ya see, it was kinda like joke. I say kinda like, because if I have to splain it, then it wasn’t funny. So, my bad.

its just sloppy trackwork

OK David. Written things on posts don’t always come across as intended. No foul. (Not referring to Rooster [fowl]). (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-cool.gif)

Looking good guys.

Took some time to at least run my new MOW piece of equipment!

It’s a LGB track cleaning loco.

Edited : because I forgot the type of equipment.(shut Up Rooster)

Sean,

What is it? Like the look of your layout in photo#1
