Large Scale Central

So Long M-T-H

The one thing I missed out on was the Bipolar built in Lionel super size or basically equivalent to the old Buddy L trains. MTH even made a version compatible with Buddy L track. Big, Expensive and Heavy.

I understand big and heavy! But define expensive ?

Another US large scale manufacturer is also closing. Hartland Locomotive Works announced on May 28, 2020, that its production is closed indefinitely. They will ship out any remaining inventory they still have and their warranty, parts and repair service, run by the famous Phil Jensen, will continue to operate for now.

Tom, I hope you don’t mind that I post this; your trackwork is unbelievably good!

Hi Sean,

The Synchronized Puffing Smoke & Sound is the best feature of the MTH Steam Locomotives.

I agree. Here’s a video showing that in action (fwd to around the middle).

And that G-gauge Triplex, with working tender stack:

Three big’uns in this outdoor run:

Same layout, but here with 3 Big Boys and 3 Triplexes, each trio with 100’ of coal cars.
