Large Scale Central

So, I decided I needed a turntable

I think the EBT uses a piece of steel cut into an H pattern, but it only fits over one rail, if I remember it correctly.

That really turned out great. Nice work.

Gad! how did I miss this? I remember seeing when you first started but guess i forgot.

Really great looking turntable and the “K” looks great on it!

The plastic you got for the pit floor might be PVC sheet. That’s what I used on mine and so far it’s held up very well but can warp a bit if not secured good.

This post response is darn near a bloody month old ??? Stop being retired and pay more attention Ric!

Maybe Terry has some update pics to add?

Thats prototypical…a steel sheet between the rails that had a chain welded on as a handle was used in many places…

I know…I saw it somewhere and can’t remember where…

I saw this on a 2 foot narrow gauge turntable I was on today and have to share it. Just what was being discussed…

Joe - Do you have a longer shot of that turntable? Looks like a prototype for the octagon pit Bart and I were discussing a few months back.

Jon,

These are the only two other shots I took of that turntable. The block wall that formed the pit was sort of an octagon…
