I do believe we had Climate Change once before....
Many, many times before, even before the earliest Algore had evolved from the protozoa, and the Shrubs were giant ferns.

And to clarify the reason the Vikings named the island of Greenland for the color "green" is because at one time a bit over 2,000 years ago it had lush forests.......not currently there yet, either.
Actually, this name was a bit of a real estate scam intended to bring gullible Vikings to Not-So-Green Acres a thousand years ago or so. Greenland was somewhat more temperate then than it is now, but it wasn't the Riviera. In the matter of grapes, see also Vinland, another slightly optimistic title intended to promote settlement. The technique is familiar to anyone looking at a modern housing development. I believe England does have a vineyard or two these days. The Scots, up nearer the Arctic Circle, make do with distilled bogwater.

So, with little income to use for buying entertainment. I see by looking around me, and lurking over on another web page. Being an observer of human stupidity, is free, and is the most humourous entertainment on the market.</blockquote>

Hear, hear! I’ll drink to that (has another sip of the plum schnaps0.

I have bought the last piece of model railroad equipment, and now I'm just going to enjoy what I have. Winding down will be fun. I haven't used a lot of the stuff I have very much; so I'll get great enjoyment out of it.
Yeah, it isn't as if you could take it with you. ;) Enough to have some good fun should be enough. :) :)

Yes , there is a beginning of wine production in the UK , I can thoroughly recommend it because the climate is still cold enough to stop the grape vines dead in their tracks in the winter , a definitive requirement for good vintages . The heavy frost stops the sap moving . So that part is true , but .but , but , the Romans had so much wine going in this country that they exported it to Rome . Hotter back then , you see .
Greenland was green , Iceland was greener . Proof of this is laying around in the melted snow in the form of tree trunks . So both have got colder , but Iceland is on a volcanic producing fault line and its climate is knocked all to cock .
How’s about the Sahara ? Plenty of evidence there of past cultivation , all blown to hell before the Crusades . So there’s one bit of warming , but nobody can figure why . But it is likely due to the same thing that killed off the Incas ----over stripping of trees , making city living as was practised then a bit problematic because the only trees for fuel were too far away . Incas die out , quite suddenly , now all is recovered . So they’re digging the trees out again to show the world what the city was like .
Basically , the climate change lobby are propagandists who have a lot of vested interests .they also pay off news media to propagate the propaganda . They are living off us suckers who pay for their fashionable ways .
Have you noticed they all sing from the same hymn sheet ? Every passenger crossing the Atlantic does so by depositing 100 kg of carbon into the atmosphere–which , you will note , is done at high altitude , thus holding in the heat .
Well , when I went to skool , CO2 was heavier than air , so fell to the bottom of everything . Which is what it does today , to be hoovered up by the northern rain forests and the great oceans .
What arrogant pigs , these “climatologists” , to think that puny man can affect the world’s atmosphere . Even the volcanoes which are more destructive than our most powerful weapons . make little difference to climate .
Challenge these pushers of bile , you can always find a counter argument for any crap that they come up with .
If you don’t , you will have no cars , the fuel needed to make bikes will be too expensive , your electricity will be rationed , and these smug tree hugging vegetarians will still be farting their pollution into the atmosphere —that’s why they want us to stop eating meat , so’s they can pollute more freely .
Wanna bet that within a year or so you will be saying that the idiot Englishman was right ?

I am in complete agreement with you. There is a comedian named “Tater Salad” here in the U.S…He has a friend that became a vegetarian because fratulation by cows has been claimed by environmentalists to be destroying the Ozone Layer…When the vegetarian asked “Tater Salad” what he was doing to save the environment…He exclaimed, “He was eating the damn cows”!

Vegetarian from the Old Native American Word for Poor Hunter.

Chris,

No doubt there has been a large supply of sour grapes for quite some time, if it lends itself for w(h)ine or if it should take the straight route to vinegar remains to be seen.

As a Brit comedian put it: The difference between an American and a Brit is easily demonstrated with a Rolls-Royce.
If the American’s neighbour owns a Rolls-Royce, then he’ll want one too.
If the Brit’s neighbour owns a Rolls-Royce, he wishes the neighbour perish in a fiery crash.

Yes Virginia, there are cultural differences.

Marvin;

Do you have a vidio of all that before it changed ?

Fr. Fred

The batteries were not charged in the Camcorder that day due to electricity not being invented yet.

And we couldn’t find any caves to put pictographs on the walls of this event, either.

So other than a few written Tales of Beowulf, we have no photographic evidence.

I remain staunchly…

I sense discord . Keep it going .

Mike ----one time owner of a Beautiful Rolls Royce . And a Bentley , but not at the same time . Both had 4.5 litre straight sixes based on the Le Mans Supercharged model . My neighbours’ wishes of a fiery end came to nought , leaving me free to carry on polluting the atmosphere with other large vehicles such as Rolls Royce Griffon engined anti submarine aircraft , and Rolls Royce Spey engined a/s aircraft . Always admired the Rolls engined Mustangs and Lightnings , they did good . The neighbours wished them a fiery end as well , look what happened to those neighbours .
Envy is a source of sin , beware it does not bring you down .

Mike. The perfect bumper sticker for a 4.7L Jeep…

By golly , Ken , I shall print that and use it .

Thanks ,

Mike

Vic,

Do you remember any time the Rigid Religious Right would have been deterred by such minor details?

More like burning down your neighbors house to get rid of'em..............;)

The same irritants may be no bother to some but a major headache to others. Any perspective is an individual opinion. The process to rid the irritants can be rationalized differently depending on ones' personal view point and that individual's acceptable level of collateral damage.

Interesting how some people seem to believe that “land of the free” should only translate into their definition of such and not begin to consider that others might have a different defintion. I thought the basic premise of this country relied on liberty, equality and justice for all regardless of their backgrounds or beliefs. That includes liberals and conservatives and everything in between and at both fringes. Am I wrong?

Yes.

And at the risk  of giving further offence

White is right
And red is wrong
and green means gently go along.

Please note, however, that this is not a political credo.

And many die each day to support your rosy outlook on how the Republic works. And if you work in the shadows, your deeds and death go unreported.

However, I am only an observer these days.
