Thanks Ken. Can you give me some idea of why the video isn’t showing up consistently when I post?
Thanks Ray, makes me want to go back to Jacumba

Sure, Ray.
It’s a little different then it used to be:
Ken, every time I try it that way, not only does the video not show up at all, but it even cuts off most of the text from my message.
Update: I finally got it to work by not using the “video” button at all. I just pasted the embed code directly into the message.
Whatever way works, Ray. This new program handles things a bit different than the old one.
I stumbled across this site while doing pic research for another idea… Anyway lots of history and a vid or two about it…
Very nice site. BTW a bit of information is out of date. The Pacific Imperial Railroad went bankrupt. MTS who actually owns the line is now working with with Baja California Railroad https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baja_California_Railroad who plans to rehabiltate the line (good luck with that). When I lived in SD area another neat place to visit was where the old “Impossible Railroad” terminated on its east end at Plaster city. One of the last narrow gauge industrial operations is located there - Plaster city. USG last I knew as of a few years back still operated the narrow gauge using Alcos (well MLWs) that were originally destined for the White Pass and Yukon. They had the original blue WP&Y paint but finally USG repainted them. A nice little article here: http://railfan.com/plaster-city-alcos/
Little gems all tucked into the desert east of SD.
