Richard Smith

I get mail from this “Tricky Dicky Smith” on a regular basis. Should I be afraid, or VERY afraid ?
There used to be “The Smith Brothers” on the LSC Chat. Is this one of them; or BOTH of them.

Does Helen Smith enjoy breakfast with Richard
“Tricky Dicky Smith”, or does she eat at the Port Orford Dinner ?

Is this the Richard Smith of Branch Railroadian fame. The one that was proclaimed recently as “Archie Bishop” of Port Orford, and The Wood Piles" ?

That “Vulture” should stick with “Road Kill”…I met him and he is too full of sugar. He even drags an English man around to translte for him/her/ it. I’m not even sure what breed or sex this so-called “Vulture” is. The name given by the Englishman dude , is not of much help. If “Ig” is a female, then why no laying of eggs ?
Or, even the help in hatching “Eggliners”.
Good Vultures stick around and kill off rodents, but Ig didn’t even look at the rats with bushy tails when visiting here…We even had a few road kills , but It ? didn’t even show interest…
There is a problem here somewhere…

Okay, I confess. This is really me.

That may not be a bad thing. Seems Ig does attract some pretty women…

Now I’m worried. Would offering a sample of Chico’s second largest employer’s product, Sierra Nevada’s Pale Ale, be a good test of the real Richard Smith?

Bill

I suspect that if he’s wearing Ig’s shirt, takes you to the Crazy Norwegian’s AND drinks all of the ale, that’s it’s just close enough to be the real Richard.

After that visit, you should go see TOC.

Where’s my Uf Da hat when I need it?

There’s an ol’ wino that hangs around the POC pretending to be me. He’s so senile he gets drunk on Koolaid.

Koolaid has to be aged just right to get the sugars to produce the right fermentation. Watermelon wine is created much the same way, keep the air away from it and let nature take its course. Necessity is truely the mother of invention.

Now you're in for a treat!

We went there last year. http://www.jbrr.com/html/port_orford.html

Very delightful.

Make sure you get the real one.

Well we finally made it to Port Orford and the POC and like Bruce said, it was indeed a treat. It was both challenging and inspirational to see Richard’s model making skills. And his library of railroad lore is staggering. Time did not permit any operations. Maybe next time.
Thank you Richard and Helen for hospitality and encouragement.
