I agree, not much chance of getting them changed, but Navin would be the guy.

The Basic TE was definitely crystal controlled.
And there were 10 frequencies originally planned. At one time I had 2 and each had a different frequency.
Note that any 27 mhz transmitter would interfere with their operation including toys like Rokenbok.
