Fred,
One problem I have with Chat and the reason i have not frequented it is I seem to be one of just a small number of left coasters that participate. By the time I get on there everyone has said their good nights; and that is at 7:30. So I have basically quit trying to catch the old people from the other side who go to bed at 7:00 . . .my time.
Well said. Devon. But will keep trying off and on, then maybe someone that can’t go to sleep may be bored.

Your time. just remember that, its your time. (http://largescalecentral.com/externals/tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-wink.gif)And those of us who work for a living to tend to go to bed at a certain time each night. If I get involved with chat, then I might miss my bed time, not good on a school…um, er, work night.

It must be the ratio (not the absolute number) of negative to positive.
Also, the negative points do not expire, since I was well respected, then went down and up a bit, but you get notified if someone “votes” a reputation point.
Since I’ve received no such points in a while, it would stand to reason that I (and everyone for that matter) would be going back to well respected if we don’t receive any points.
Greg
I find this troubling and rather upsetting !
If the points don’t expire, then how can we drift up without someone giving us more up points? And if the points do expire, then we should drift toward 0, or mixed, or undetermined, or whatever it is when one doesn’t have any points either way.
Good question, but I’d like to concentrate on the point that the system is not working as Bob described.
I was hoping bob would show up and either explain, fix, or re-calibrate our expectations.
Greg
Howdy. Just catching up on the site. Reputation points SHOULD be expiring. Ive checked the job log and the task runs, and, without getting too technical, the correct data is removed, but it looks like they aren’t recalculating the numbers correctly from the member’s perspective. Interesting problem, Ive added it to my ‘to fix’ list.
Bob, I don’t mind. This is one of the few places where I am “well respected”
