My experience with Rob Bennett wasn’t quite as positive as Tac’s. Rob stopped replying to emails and weeks went by after I ordered the gent - to the point that I finally used Skype to phone him. Rob said he had been having back problems and was a bit behind. (Not sure that’s a good excuse for not replying to emails?)
Anyway, as you can see from my photos, he finally arrived, fully painted by way of apology from Rob - I only ordered an unpainted figure.
Now the other news - my sister-in-law, who lives in the Midlands quite close to Rob Bennett, has decided to get me a Guard (=Conductor) for my 7/8ths scale train. I’ll let you know what she discovers, and whether she’s sending a ‘care parcel’ over to me.
On topic–Pete, thought you would like to know that the two days of snow we are having here in VT just turned to sleet.
Off topic–I understand Roundhouse has a new engine coming, but they are keeping it under wraps, even with dealers Anyone have any clues?
Larry
Pete, You mention your sister-in-law living in the English Midlands. The third week end of November sees the Warley Show which is a pretty large affair, all scales, but does have large scale exhibits and traders.
She might find the place interesting, many women do it seems. However, she could probably pick up many things UK sourced for you if she attended. You have plenty of time to make a list. lol

Alan,
She doesn’t have a clue why anyone likes trains so I doubt she wants to go to a show. But if I give her a list, she’ll track the stuff down and get it for me. She called Smallbrook Studios to inquire about the “Emily” upgrade kit - says she had a nice chat with the owner!
What I forgot to mention Pete is that it is held at the National Exhibition Centre which is close to the City of Birmingham. I have never been but I do think they try to make the show ‘lady friendly’.
Pete that Dewitton looks great. Im dreaming of palm trees now.
I tried to contact Rob for a Busy Body figure but never got a responce. How did you get him?
TAC
Ifn you want to collect my ventilators from Rob and bring them over in April, that would be fine.
Let me know when you have them and I will give you my snail mail. Will reimburse you for your efforts.

Maybe send my sister-in-law after him. She’s quite tenacious.
He did email early, after I used Paypal to order a figure. But then he lost the details of the order, so we had some communication about that.
I’ll let you know what happens after she tries to get a Guard for me.
Thanks Pete. Alan sent me a PM and said he would call Rob since hes I the UK and the call cost nothing for him. Ill let you know how I make out. My Otto would look good with one of his drivers.
I finally got Rob and ordered two figures, the Lumberjack and the Trilby. He also said he would make some sketches of logging figures. Hopefully I get the two fairly fast. I wish his figures were easier to get. I think they are the best around, lots of character to them.
