Question on what color to do

Joe and Dave,

Thanks.I just checked my copy of the August issue and got the info.Forgot the article was there.I’ll have to find my June issue. I’ll be picking up the tape tomorrow as I already have the flanges made.
Thanks again.

Dave

The June issue doesn’t tell ya’ much on what your doing…but if your looking for it the Rooster Creek RR is on the front cover. Did some planting here this weekend Dave and everything else is coming up nicely. Get them cars together! I’m thinking like the end of May we should be looking good for some pics. If not I have plantings set up seasonal. Spring flowers are phasing out and summer flowers are coming up. The ferns and hostas are my favorite anyway.

Had to change materials.Tried the tourniquet tape painted and couldn’t get the build-up on the paint consistant. This caused occassional cracking. Looked for the linen tape used by Jack Verducci but couldn’t find any wide enough for my use.Settled on canvas. Although this has the wrong texture I think it is acceptable. At least until I find something I like better. I opened up a photo bucket account and I’m going to try to put the pictures here. If this works I’ll take pictures of the completed car and load them up here.

This shows the break down of the diaphragm: 1/16th aluminium canvas with 1/16th plastic packing foam 1/16th plastic face frame I’ll explain more on the build

Hey David - You can post Photobucket pictures directly to LSC. Just get rid of all the IMG tags they give you in the code for BBS & Forums link…

Thank you Jon

Actually Dave on the bottom left it says “share” just hit direct link and it will copy the link for you then paste it here. Look in your camera owners manual and see how to turn on Macro for your close shots it will help a bunch on clearity. Nice chattin’ with ya’ this evening and thanks for thinking of me but I believe you will make much better use of that car;)

Would inner tube rubber work or would it be too thick?

Terry,
I never gave that a thought. I’ll have to look into it.
Dave, Enjoyed the conversation also. Have to check that macro thingy.

Thanks
Dave

Might be on to something there?
