Richard, how did you attach the lower braces?

Ray: Thanks for posting the photo. You can see that my depot has been custom-crunched for the POC.

Steve: As stated before the upper roof supports were attached to a strip with glue and a brad from behind then attached to the wall as a unit(s). The lower braces were added afterwards first with glue and then, after the glue dried, with a single brad from above. These brads weren’t done with a brad gun because of the accuracy required as well as the danger of splitting. A small guide hole was drilled and a brad gently tapped in at the proper angle through each. This makes for a fairly solid connection. No brads were used on the bottom where the bracket meets the wall, just glue there, although you could possibly brad there as well. I didn’t want to overdo it because even with the predrilled holes splitting is a danger with such relatively small parts. Once the metal roof was glued on the structure was locked together and is quite strong.

Bruce: There comes a time when you have to think BIG. hehe!

Nothing short of what we have come to expect from you Richard - Beautiful !!!

Thanks Jon.
